Scorch was a Black Furan.
The Black furan was the largest of three furanid species. It had a wingspan of 4m (12′), and stood at 1.6m (64″, or 16 hands) at the shoulder. The Black furan was a fierce animal, but also highly intelligent, and capable of communication with Humanoids.
