The final revisions are progressing well, and with the illustrations almost done, I believe that I can indeed publish the novel in the next 2-3 months, by 31 December, I hope. The challenge will be the proper formatting of the book for both print and epublication, and then getting on the calendar of the publishing company I have selected to use to self-publish.

This week, I finished revising Chapter 19, and immediately started on Chapter 20. But as I went through it, I decided to add a new scene, and so wrote it today. My middle son thought it was a bad idea – adding a scene at this point – but it is not a long scene, counting just 614 words, and I think it adds a nice break in the chapter, as well as another intriguing look into the motivations of two enigmatic characters.

Time to finish revising the rest of the chapter.
