It has been a while since I have posted anything about my novel because I needed to focus. I am now nearing 50,000 words or 150 pages in the writing of Book 2 of Conquerors of K’Tara. There is so much happening in the ten chapters. In particular, I feel good about the developments between High Prince Aithen and Elyana Lux Baiula who have both come to some decisions regarding their relationship.

I have also completed the writing of a scene that frightened me, the scene of the encounter between Lusk Methrim and Noctiferus, although I will likely need to revise it a few times before it is done. I hope it will surprise everyone, and that it will reveal–to those who have been wondering–some interesting facts about the Dark One and his minion.

With regards to the relaunch of the new edition of Book 1, with the new cover and new title (Forebodings – Conquerors of K’Tara Book 1),  everything is almost complete. All that is left is the blurb on the back cover, which is most definitely the hardest thing to write, and the completion of the audiobook.

Finally, I have just received confirmation that I will have a table at PhilCon (the Philadelphia Science Fiction Convention) from 13-15 Nov to sell and autograph copies of Book 1 there. But prior to that, I will be doing a reading of Book 1 at the Phoenixville library on 08Oct. It is a good thing I manage projects for a profession, to help me keep it all straight and on track (though it is not all nearly as perfectly on track as I would wish it).

Well, that’s all for now. And if you are curious and interested in hearing an excerpt of the narration of Book 1, let me know. You may even tell me what you’d prefer to hear: A scene with Aithen and Elyana on their way to Furan City, or during their roaming of the Bind to find the Serpent; a scene with Toras and his guardians during their search for the king; or a scene in Urbs Lucis among the Lux Baiulae.
